How Ocean Science Consulting transformed their conference into a high-impact brand experience with Gumbudii
Project Overview
We had the opportunity to work closely with Ocean Science Consulting (OSC) on a multi-layered project supporting their conference and accompanying black-tie event. After tendering for the project and being selected, we not only met the brief but exceeded the agreed deliverables. From early planning through to post-event delivery, our goal was to help OSC present their products and brand in a way that felt polished, engaging, and consistent across every touchpoint, both online and in person.
The Challenge
This project came with a broad scope and a clear expectation of quality. OSC needed everything from product-focused video content and event coverage to a full suite of branded design assets and social media support. The challenge was bringing all of this together in a way that felt cohesive, while working to fixed event deadlines and adapting to changes as the project evolved.
Our Approach
From the outset, we treated this as a collaborative process. We took time to understand OSC’s brand, audience, and the technical nature of their work, so our creative decisions were always aligned with their goals.
Our approach combined videography, photography, graphic design, and social media planning into one connected workflow. Each piece of content was designed to complement the others, ensuring the visuals, messaging, and overall tone remained consistent from pre-event promotion through to post-event content.
Execution
The project kicked off at the end of September 2025, giving us time to plan strategically ahead of the conference on 28 November 2025. From the beginning, speed and responsiveness were just as important as quality, and this is where Gumbudii really leaned into its strengths.
We delivered high-quality video edits, photography, and graphic design work on fast turnaround timelines, often providing content as soon as it was needed. Product promotion videos, conference teasers, and social media assets were edited and delivered quickly to support ongoing promotion in the run-up to the event, without compromising on creative quality.
Design work moved just as efficiently. Invitations, banners, brochures, presentation slides, templates, and digital assets were created and updated rapidly to meet changing requirements, ensuring OSC always had the right materials at the right time. Where needed, we also supplied additional design and content support beyond the original scope as a courtesy, because our focus was on achieving the best possible outcome for the client.
On the event day, our team managed photography and video coverage smoothly and unobtrusively, capturing key moments while maintaining a natural flow. Post-event, we continued with fast, reliable turnarounds on edits and social media content through December, helping OSC maintain momentum and extend the impact of the event.

OSC
The promotional and product videos received strong engagement on LinkedIn, particularly in the run-up to the conference. One of the most rewarding outcomes for us was the feedback we consistently heard that the videos were “incredible,” and that the content stood out as engaging and unique.
The graphic design work also received excellent feedback, not only from OSC but from attendees and partner organisations involved in the event. Overall, the response confirmed that the content successfully supported OSC’s brand and enhanced the experience for everyone involved.
